Description
The tour begins in Mount Lebanon, where nature, spirituality, and ancient legends converge. Leaving the city, the landscape transforms into rugged hills and mountain roads, setting a reflective tone for the day.
The first stop is Saint Charbel’s Hermitage (Mar Charbel – Annaya), nestled in the mountainside. This hermitage offers a peaceful atmosphere where Saint Charbel lived in solitude and prayer. Visitors can walk the stone paths, absorb the quiet surroundings, and enjoy panoramic views over the Qadisha Valley.
Next is Saydet El Qarn, a high viewpoint overlooking valleys and distant villages. This location offers wide views ideal for photography and breathing in the mountain air. Following this, the tour visits Saydet El Habs (Our Lady of the Imprisonment), a secluded shrine carved into rock that symbolizes faith and endurance within a serene natural setting.
The tour’s highlight is Afqa Waterfall, where water cascades from a cliff cave into a valley below.
