Chateau Musar
Beirut
Vineyards spreading over 180 Hectares mostly located in the Bekaa Valley between two montains that quench the thist of the grapes from melting snow.
The red wines are made of a different mix of grape varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan and similarly the white wines are a blend of Obeideh and Merwah (which are native to the Bekaa Valley). According to the legend, Obeideh and Merwah were taken back to Europe with the Crusaders and are the likely ancestors of Chardonnay and Semillon respectively.
Guests can take a tour in the 17th century castle in Ghazir where the cellar of the Chateau Musar Wine is located, upon previous appointments.
